Dark, Alone

"Eyes are the pathway to the soul."

When you look into someone's eyes, you can feel what the person feels. You believe what the person believes.

This painting has multiple meanings.

You first see someone sitting in a hallway. Eventually, you notice that he is thinking, but is worn down. You also notice that he is alone.

The second thing you realize is the hand. Some people do not understand what the hand is for, but people who let the painting speak to them can realize. The hand represents wanting to hide. You want to hide your face, hide your emotions, hide your beliefs: hide you.

You realize the colors. All the colors are cool, and depressing. They are dark.

We each have felt alone, stranded, confused. We feel the desire to hide, be reserved, hold ourselves back. We each have a bit of darkness within. The only thing that matters, is which part of us are we going to feed.
